Welcome to My Wellbeing Pal
My Wellbeing Pal is a new online community directory designed to help people discover the activities, services, organisations and opportunities that can support their health and wellbeing.
Finding the right support is not always easy. Information can be spread across different websites, social media pages, noticeboards and local networks. Sometimes people simply do not know what is available nearby or where to begin looking. My Wellbeing Pal brings this information together in one clear, friendly and accessible place.
Our aim is to help people connect with the things that may make a positive difference to their lives. This could be a local fitness class, sports club, community group, mental health service, volunteering opportunity, youth activity, creative workshop or somewhere to meet new people.
Wellbeing means different things to different people. It can mean improving your physical health, managing stress or anxiety, learning a new skill, getting out of the house, making friends or finding practical support during a difficult time. It can also be as simple as discovering an enjoyable activity in your local community.
Starting in Ilfracombe
My Wellbeing Pal will initially have a strong focus on Ilfracombe.
Ilfracombe has a wide range of organisations, groups, charities, services and community projects doing fantastic work. However, people are not always aware of everything taking place or how to get involved.
By bringing these opportunities together, we hope to make it easier for residents, families, professionals and community organisations to find and share local support.
Although Ilfracombe is our starting point, the directory will also begin covering communities across northern Devon. This will include towns such as Barnstaple, Braunton, Bideford, Great Torrington and South Molton, alongside services and organisations supporting people across the wider North Devon area.
The directory will continue to grow as more organisations, activities and services are added.
